Resources for Family & Friends

Help for the people who show up every day.

You don’t have to do this alone

Supporting someone in recovery is hard. It can be exhausting, frightening and isolating — and it's easy to put your own needs last. At Turning Point Center of Central Vermont, we work with families and friends as well as individuals in recovery. You deserve support too.

What we offer families and friends

Open Hearts

Open Hearts is a weekly group for loved ones of people who are actively using substances or in recovery. It's a space to connect with others in similar situations, share what you're going through and find some relief in not being alone in it.

When: Tuesdays, 6–7pm
Where: 17 Ayers Street, Barre, VT

One-on-one support

Many of our Recovery Coaches are trained to work with family members and friends directly. If you'd like to talk through your situation with someone who understands, we can connect you with the right person.

Connecting you with other resources

Every situation is different. If what you need goes beyond what we offer directly, we can help you find it. We're connected to a broad network of Vermont and national resources and can help point you in the right direction.
