Our Policies
Your privacy matters to us.
Substance use is a sensitive subject, and we know that. Many of the people on our team have been through recovery themselves, which means we understand firsthand what it means to trust someone with your story.
What you share with us stays with us. Confidentiality is not just a policy here — it’s a practice. We work hard to maintain a safe, private and respectful environment for everyone who comes through our doors.
Mandated reporting
As a community organization, some of our staff are mandated reporters. This means they’re required by law to report certain disclosures involving risk of harm to a child or vulnerable adult. This obligation exists regardless of confidentiality and isn’t specific to TPCCV. It applies to many professionals working in community and social service settings.
If you have questions about what this means in practice, please ask a staff member. We’ll always be transparent with you.
