Katie Jones
Katie Jones brings lived experience, professional expertise, and a deep passion for helping others to her role at the Turning Point Center of Central Vermont. One of the most meaningful parts of her work is serving on the Washington County Treatment Court team — Treatment Court was instrumental in her own recovery, and being able to support participants navigating that same path is both a privilege and a reminder of why she does this work.
During a period of active addiction, Katie was visited by a Recovery Coach in a hospital Emergency Department. Being met with compassion, support, and freedom from judgment had a profound impact on her life and inspired her to one day offer that same hope to others. After graduating from Treatment Court in 2018, she began a new chapter — and has been in recovery ever since.
As a Certified Recovery Coach and Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Katie oversees recovery coaching services, provides one-on-one peer support, facilitates groups, collaborates with community partners, serves on the Washington County Treatment Court Regional Advisory Committee, and works as a Recovery Coach embedded within Probation and Parole.
Katie shares her life with her partner and their son, and finds strength and peace in nature, family, reading, and time spent outdoors. She is grateful to be part of the Turning Point team and believes that giving back to her community is her purpose — walking alongside others with compassion, kindness, and hope as they build the lives they want for themselves.
