Fran Spaulding

Fran Spaulding is a Certified Recovery Coach serving as Supervisor in the Emergency Department at Central Vermont Medical Center. She holds an Associate's degree in Human Services and has been doing this work for several years — work she says she can't imagine doing anywhere else.

Fran has been living in recovery from Alcohol Use Disorder for over ten years and is grateful every day for a recovery that has made it possible for her to resume her life in all the ways that matter most. She finds purpose and meaning through her relationships as a mother, grandmother, colleague, and friend.

Fran brings deep empathy and compassion to supporting people who are struggling with substance use disorder, and enjoys helping others navigate their path to wellness by sharing the message that recovery can happen. In her spare time, she volunteers at Rhythm of the Rein Therapeutic Facility, cleaning stalls and spending time with the horses.
